The future of Las Cruces, particularly city government's land development process and smart growth principles, will be discussed by the Las Cruces City Council during a special work session that starts at 1 p.m. today at City Hall. For several months, council members and city administrators have been pointing to this work session as the starting point to review and consider possible changes to the city's procedures used to consider annexations and other land issues.
